On-Line Leak Sealing is a TEMPORARY measurement to stop leaks on a FAILED system, hence eliminate plant shutdown
What causes the leak?
- Excessive corrosions / erosion
- Thermal shock – expansion and contraction of piping
- Forces or movements acting on piping system – water hammer, vibrations etc.
- Uneven bolt stress – incorrect tightening procedure
- Damaged gasket seat faces
- Incorrect gasket material or size
